The definition of racism hasn't changed. This is also a conversation happening in that video's comment section. People have twisted it for arguments and to weaponize. I flat out believe that if you treat one race differently than another then you are a racist. Period.

((I looked up the FBI information myself before reading these articles. I already know they were false. Read durther for context.)) Now here's where we will disagree. I don't have to do the math if the journalist is the one making the claim. The burden of proof falls on them to supply sources and explain how they arrived at their conclusions **especially if I can pull up information that contradicts the claims they are making.** You were able to find alternate data that lead you to the conclusion that the FBI data was false or am I misunderstanding you? If I did understand correctly, could you send me in the right direction? I didn't see the article or story you saw so I don't know if they did the math or how well/poorly they explained their position. I assumed the worst based on your post though. Just out of curiosity did you read my reply or skim it? I'm trying to decide if my replies are too much or if I should consider being a little more vague so the reader doesn't get bored before finishing.

Society isn't complicated, but it also sucks. If any one race speaks up, it will be taken as a biased opinion. I won't say it's only America, because it's not. But America has its history of oppressing races, including white. We French are racist too, but it's not like this. We are snobby and oftentimes won't even let Americans into stores or restaurants. It's things like this that make me say I can't blame them. I'm biased on the matter, won't lie, but I'm being as fair as I can. Racism is everywhere, but comes down together in America. My point is that this is their fault for being so open to immigrants in the past. I'm not being racist, but it opened doors to many problems involving racism. Now I believe America will be at war with itself over races. Again.

Again, my original statement was: the journalists making the claims bare the burden of proof and should show sources and do the math. If the journalists want to base it on percentages, then it should state so. But the journalists didn't provide the charts shown via FBI... and the journalists didn't show how they got their numbers. Back to why I was looking this up, the person claimed blacks were 8x more likely to be arrested than whites. This was the source I linked them. They never got back to me on their source for the 8x.. that's when I found the ABC article. This is from 2019. I think you posted 2018 in your reply.

Yea I kept trying to get the 2019 table to load but it wasn't displaying arrests by race just crime. Thank you for posting the updated data set. Even the new data shows a bias though. 75.8% of 6,816,975 is 5,168,025.5 and 13.6% of 6,816,975 is 927,244.6. Police arrest white people less than the average we'd expect to see and more black people. 8 or 10 times more? We'd have to get into ratios for that and I'm already worried my posts are too boring lol. I guess to be fair, I'd say you were correct that the 8-10X is probably an exaggeration. Per capita whites are arrested more but by demographic density minorities are.
