More something I am interested in since I really like deep sea creatures. A random anglerfish managed to wash ashore. If I had to take a wild guess as to where it came from. Probably bycatch that was tossed overboard by a fishing trawler that managed to make it's way to the beach. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/rarely-seen-deep-sea-footballfish-washes-up-at-newport-beach/ar-BB1gvZjU?ocid=msedgntp

https://newsbinding.com/news/watch-5-migrant-girls-under-age-6-abandoned-overnight-on-texas-bank-of-rio-grande/ https://media.breitbart.com/media/2021/05/Baby1.jpg A Texas rancher living north of Eagle Pass discovered five unaccompanied migrant children abandoned by smugglers on their farmland Saturday night. The five small girls, ranging in ages from one to six years old, were led across the Rio Grande River and abandoned the evening before. The human smugglers left them with no food, water, or any adults to care for them throughout the night. The rancher’s wife shot a video when they found the children on Mothers Day Sunday morning. The frustrated woman expressed their displeasure for the dangers the children faced throughout the night and the seriousness of their situation. Temperatures reached 103 degrees on Sunday and the children appeared to be exhausted and dehydrated.

https://abc7ny.com/times-square-shooting-in-nyc-1515-broadway/10606544/ The NYPD continues to look for the suspect who shot three people, including a 4-year-old girl, after an argument in Times Square. TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan (WABC) -- The NYPD is still searching for the gunman who shot three, including a 4-year-old child, in Times Square over the weekend. Authorities say the person of interest, 31-year-old Farrahkan Muhammad, was targeting his brother after a dispute that turned into a shooting. On Saturday afternoon, police say they have Muhammad on video, shooting indiscriminately into a crowd of people at 45th Street and 7th Avenue. Instead, three innocent bystanders were shot, including a 4-year-old girl who was out toy shopping with her parents, and a tourist from Rhode Island, and a 43-year-old woman. The 4-year-old underwent surgery and is expected to be OK.

https://www.kktv.com/2021/05/09/4-including-suspect-killed-in-shooting-at-colorado-springs-mobile-home-community/ COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A gunman opened fire during a birthday party early Sunday morning, leaving a horrific scene with more than half a dozen dead inside a mobile home. The party was happening in a home on Preakness Way at the Canterbury Manufactured Home Community on the east side of the city. Police say the celebration was still in full swing at 12:40 a.m. when the boyfriend of one of the victims stormed in with a gun and started shooting. Amid the devastating aftermath, detectives are now working to determine a motive behind the massacre. While there are many more questions than answers, one thing that is known is that unlike so many mass shootings, the assault does not appear random, and some or all of the victims were known to the gunman. “We know that this is not a domestic terrorism incident, not an ideologically-driven crime; it appears to be domestic violence. That there was a relationship here that the perpetrator was involved in, and unfortunately, we had a lot of bystanders who got killed. When you look around the country at these incidents, about 20 percent of all domestic violence victims are not partners, they’re either law enforcement officers that showed up, or family members, or sometimes bystanders. And unfortunately we had in a small area here a couple of families who wound up being in a domestic violence incident and wound up losing their lives,” Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers said. “It’s a terrible, terrible tragedy.”

Another interesting one of the deep ocean. I've been following this work for a while and I found it interesting. Basically they had a new way to attract the giant squid and they do it with this device that emulates the distress signal of a deep sea jellyfish. They had this crazy idea that the giant squid would see the lights being produced by the jellyfish being attacked. Now the giant squid isn't interested in the jellyfish, but rather the thing attacking the jellyfish. So long story short is the jellyfish wins by not being dead and the giant squid wins by getting a meal. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/first-footage-of-a-giant-squid-hunting-prey-in-the-gulf-of-mexico/ar-BB1gFx2J?ocid=msedgntp

@dyadka_yar I get the fascination. I used to want to be an Oceanographer at one point in my life. Things in the water both terrify and intrigue me. Probably the reason why I want to visit Aquariums anytime we travel anywhere. Art Museums and Aquariums always.
