i wouldnt call it an addicition for me. its more of a gift as i find patterns in everything pretty easily and enjoy it. i learned the ropes of swinging trading and practiced predicting patterns, then once i felt real good at it and has a good sum to use, i learned options. which imo is a safer way to make alot, as long as you split your money like 5-6ways and like you or i, and are good or great at finding patterns. i also started during the pandemic. had to start over twice tho, due to being dumb and dumping it all into one. always split it up to lessen the risk of you being wrong on one or several, or shit luck on some. for me 9/10 i come out ahead this way. worse case it balances out. did about 2 months of swinging (joined a group to find my way a little which i left after i figured out how to do it well myself) and about a month of options to really learn both, only do options now, as thats were the safe big moneys at, after that i was more successful financially making cash then ive ever been lol. im just now getting back into it again, but still building up the capital for it to really get rolling. options are like $200-$500 a piece on average for the lowest ones that are profitable, so one really needs $2000+ to really do anything safely and not be closed off from the best possibilities.

biggest L ive taken with like $400 lmao.. im super careful. Also I always seen options as being fairly risky, even doing covered calls. Like with buying stock, worst case scenario, if you bought a top, just wait long enough and 90% of the time you'll be ITM .. cant really do that with options unless you're doing some long calls i guess ..i just stay away from that because havent really weighed the odds and the fees involved to see if its worth it

I used to do options and yes, you can really make bank. I made 400 bucks on an 800 dollar put in 15 minutes, but I've also lost 300 bucks holding a call overnight. Options are just too stressful for me. I rarely have the time at work to time the market well enough to get really good at option trading. I really wouldn't recommend option trading on your own unless you have been trading stocks for years. Easy to loss your ass in em
