Overprotective Parents

I had another former classmate who she told her mother she booked a flight to visit Japan alone and her mother was like at 1:54 in this Scary Movie 1 clip: https://youtu.be/UlIBiZxArGY While she was in Japan, her mother was attached to her phone constantly saying, "She's not home, but she's okay! O_O" She also had a bf in Japan, but when her parents asked her why she can't find local ones, she replied, "Well...look around you!"

I have no brothers or sisters and I was a very wanted child ( my mother gave birth to me at the age of 36 after many attempts and a miscarriage... ) My mother has always been overprotective, as I grew up with my father constantly away working abroad. I had certain plans to work and live in Japan after I save up enough money from my current low paying job but my father died 2 days ago and now I just can't bring myself to leave her as I know she'll die from sadness and loneliness... I have to think of a way to support her with money too, because she doesn't have a job at the age of 65 and still can't receive a pension...

Luckily that was not a problem for me... my parents weren't overprotective, so I 'm not really sure if I could contribute much to this conversation.

i know my mom loves me dearly, and she still semi treats me like a child (because she wants me to have an easier life then she was given) but she isnt overly protective in middleschool i broke curfew a few times, once coming home 4 hours late, and she was pretty chill about it she was rambunctious in her childhood, hitchhiking and recreational drug (luckily shes not the type to get addicted to drugs, but she did tell me shes tried everything under the sun in her youth) use so its hard to worry her when it comes to meeting people from online though she has the same "everyones a pedophile axe murderer" as everyone else her age when i talk to her about meeting fellow mai members she thinks your all pedophile, kidnapping, drug using creatures of the black lagoon i blame those 90s internet psas thats about it

Although my big sister isn't a parent, she still can take care of me, but currently she has months of constant knee pain to recover from. I really dislike having these on my family: * Absent Father * Adoring Mother * Miscommunicating, Confused Stepmother * Rowdy, Picky Big Sister The more these happen, the more I suffer.
