How reliable and trusting is your police?

animecountryboy
let me just say this there are some bad apples but they are few and far between, but people tend to judge the police by the bad apples sadly. Take it from someone who is going to school for Criminal Justice, the police and all areas of the Criminal Justice field are looked at in the wrong way but the police get the worst of it. not just people who don't trust them for whatever reason but because of the media... weather it is the new or some show on Tv they do not show that is really means to be a policeman. The news will make you think they are all a bunch of bad people who do what they want and will shoot anyone they want, and the shows will make is seem like everyday is a car chase and a shootout. well i am here to say that is a load of crap. I trust the police, dont matter where they are from. also when you talk about people goint 100 and not gettin caught all the time let me tell you this Law Enforcement has taken a big hit and downsized recently. for the most part they are stretched thin and have way too much they need and have to do. they are on overload in what each one has to do.

I hate the cops, I've had serious issues with authority simce i was a kid. I dont take kindly to taking orders and the police are really big on ordering you around as if they own you. I've read danish criminal law in its entirety so that i could tell them off when they start getting uppity about where i drink my beer or sit down for a rest. To not just let this be a comlpete rant, here is a little story about an experience i had with the police... one of the more pleasant ones that is: Me and a friend is sitting in a public park, listening to punkrock and drinking beers, on a nearby road is a police car parked, the officers sit in it and we are clearly visible from their location. A group of hodlums come up to me and my friend and one kicks my friend in the head while the other tazes me in the back of the neck, they then proceed to take our boomblaster and our beer. as soon as we can get to our feet after they leave we rush to the police car, as we get up to it they roll up their windows, and just drive off... so yeah... i hate the cops with a passion.

^ Damn that sounds terrible, Me Personally never had any kind of problem with the Cops. Hell I got pulled over 2 times and got a warning rather than a ticket. So yeah my experience has been opposite.

They leave me alone and I have my own gun so that I don't have to call them. It works out pretty well. Occasionally you get a jerk officer that gets off on their authority too much, but there are good ones too.

They have a real bad habit of victimising or just plain shooting members of minority groups, yet throw a hissy fit when claims of police brutality are thrown around.

All police think there some sort of god they think they can do whatever they want when they want all police generally suck no matter where you're from.

I'm in Texas in a rural area so if I ever had to call 911, it would take 30 minutes for anyone to show up. These days, Police are nothing more than janitors, something happens, they get called in, clean up the mess, arrest no one, and head off for more donuts and coffee. The few times I had called 911 taught me to not bother ( if I had a way to block 911 from being dialed, I'd do it ), so no matter what the issue may be or how severe some disaster is, I'll take care of it on my own, no assistance from anyone, besides Vultures and Feral Hogs will do a better clean up job - They deserve getting a Free Lunch.

Sorry for your experience with the police guys. My experience is that they leave me alone and I leave them alone. Nothing more than just that.
