What is it like dating you?

mikan_kat
Dating me is like what my bf likes to say *good company* I’m a person so sees relationships as a partnership, duo, set where we both have 50/50 on everything. So I’m expecting the other side to be able to communicate and compromise. I guess you can say I’m bit serious and tend to like doing things right and that can be seen as heavy, but relationships aren’t meant to be just be cuddles, kisses and happily ever after. Also slightly cold hearted, but I’m actually very kind. I just don’t believe in showering people with affection 24/7 As that doesn’t solve anything, but will offer realistic options that can be done to deal with w.e struggles u may have. Will become a grumpy baby during my period thou so watch out, I might bite ur head off. I will just be the person who sincerely cares about u n hopes the same back ^^

I think I posted in this thread before but I'd say I would pretty much be my SO's rock: stable, reliable. always there to hold them down. and most importantly being able to be someone that can keep them grounded and focused on the important things. I guess in some ways depending on the type of person I'm dating I could give off the vibes of a parent since in general I like to see people I care about succeed and will stop at nothing to ensure they have what they need to do so. On the other hand I can be stuck in my ways and pretty stubborn about it, I'm kinda bad at communicating when I'm deeply bothered by something (even though it's painfully obvious to everyone) so I have a bad habit of just shutting down and pushing even people I trust away so I can just process things alone. And I've been working on getting better at handling stuff like that. I guess I've just gotten so accustomed to *not* sharing how I felt with people and just dealing with it on my own that it's basically a second nature at this point I'm also not really a mushy co-dependent relationship type of dude. I would obviously care but I like to have a certain degree of freedom and would expect both people involved to have their own things going on in life outside of the relationship. I feel that a relationship should be more of a compliment to your life rather than something you should hold onto for dear life or something. But that being said...at the same time I'm not afraid to be mushy and give lots of affection and time to someone I care about. You definitely could expect spontaneous surprises and little things from me to remind you that I care pretty much. :v

I'm only around 1 day a week. The other 6 you've the whole house to yourself. Leftovers are in the fridge. If you want to you can use the credit card to order a pizza. A maximum of 2 guests are allowed as long as they go home by 9 pm. There isn't a curfew, But NO parties...

Well I'd imagine that'd I'd be a pretty fun and wholesome partner, I'm a gentleman, compassionate, empathetic, giving, talented, a good listener, adventurous and I'm good at giving massages.

Regret, misunderstandings, remorse, sadness, depression, and confirmation that you do indeed always make the wrong choices in life.

Difficult to truly understand. So difficult, even I sometimes don't understand myself.

By this time many of you should know what it is like to date you, upon much self-reflection. Now you should contemplate what being in a long-term relationship would be like with you. The differences between dating someone and maintaining your separate and individual domiciles is vastly different than living with your SO for an extended period of time. To put it plainly, it's like rolling two rocks against each other continuously in the hopes that they will eventually smooth each other's edges out, chipping away at imperfections. If you're a person that is orderly and likes clean things and you live with someone that takes their socks off wherever they land and leave them there, it will drive you crazy. You might try to smooth that imperfection out by asking the person to pick up after themselves and hope for the best. Or the person can just ignore you and drive you crazy by leaving their socks everywhere but where you asked (hamper, liberal dirty clothes pile, etc.). You can pick up after this person time and time again, which would be rewarding their bad behavior. Or you can just throw their socks away. The less socks they have, the less socks they can leave laying in the floor. Write that down.
