Religion

i try to believe in the good that is in all humans , and then you look around and see the daily bunch of asshole's and self centered people ... Even in the workplace you will see these lazy , i just do what i must and nothing more kind of people who wouldn't help anyone because they would have to use an extra second to do so ... So i'd say i'm more of an atheist kind of person because i believe there is a logical reason and cause for everything ...

Religion is a double edged sword, some people can use it to fix their lives, which is amazing on itself... other people however... choose to ignore the fact that they still need to get their shit together if they are to ever have a decent life... YET, people somehow sometimes decides that it's better to let every single thing end up as a "God wills it" rather than a "I tried and failed, but I tried..." Which puzzles me harshly

I'm a Christian, specifically Presbyterian, which most of my family have Scottish in their genes and modern ancestry. I don't read The Bible much, but I listen to my heart and feel nature is too amazing to be created by zero. In The Incredible Shrinking Man, the main character Scott believed to God, "There is no zero." At first I was secular or didn't know religions exist when I was little, until a babysitter took me to a Baptist church, but I felt lost in understanding it. Then almost naturally felt Atheism in me, but my mother who didn't know back then told me Christianity. Then when I got bullied in high school while my father and stepmother got very upset at me, my mother's brother and his wife got me saved at another Baptist church, then the matters settled, but after I had another tragic time with my father and stepmother, my mother persuades me to support her church. Unfortunately, it feels like me wondering, "Where are my generation of people? Why mostly older generations? This feels repetitive enough to be wasteful. I'm becoming more anti-social now(´;ω;`) " But I still pray comfortably at home and during meals. My mother keeps warning me about The Devil. Most sites don't accept religion. Even America despite them saying, "In God We Trust".

Christian here, even I can admit there are some qualms I have with religion. Became a member of a Christian club in college just because my mother said so and didn’t look back. The people are nice and quite supportive at least. Just not sure if I may stick with this same crowd for a while.
