Otakon DC 2018

Been going since 2009 myself, wish my friends could come with me, but they’re either outta town, not interested, or not able to afford the convention (or half the hotel fee)

I was almost not going to go because nobody was going to go with me cause the first of my friends that i go with is the one in our group that drives and everyone was like hes not going so we are also not going plus all of us have less money this year than we usually have think ill be the only one able to buy anything other than food for the weekend. But weve been every year since the first time we went and i didnt want to break that. So i told them i was going with or without them and they were like well then we are coming to. Not all of our group just enough i geuss. But my freinds that are coming always burn out way to fast most of the past otakons they have been like we have been here for like 2 hours thats enough for today see you at the hotel. So i most of the time end up wandering around by myself mostly in the dealers room or trying to talk to people but i really dislike starting conversations with people which makes talking to people i dont know pretty difficult been getting better at it each con though
