@lamby The more I think of it the more I can't say where I saw it it so it might have been streaming from Hulu or Netflix but it didn't have any mature warning notice or anything like that which some of them would have. No censoring, I do remember that. Of course it didn't have the ovac, I remember I had to look those up online because those were borderline hentai at times. One of the things I found interesting about the show was when I went on to read the Manga I learned that the anime was actually more risky than its source material. On top of that apparently the mangaka is well-known for a very risky things yet the anime was far more risque. Edit: you did bring up an interesting point yourself though, late night shows often do show nudity uncensored. I'm glad about your postal anyway, it hasn't happened a lot in the last couple times I've been on but in the last two or three months I have noticed what seems to be a lack of caring win some very obvious nude anime pictures have been posted here. Given the responses of some of the well-known people here who commented under some of these images, I got the feeling that I was the only one reporting them on top of the fact they didn't seem to disappear.

I confess I'm frustrated that I can hardly find anyplace to share my love of lolicon anymore because almost every place bans it. And I'm losing lolicon loving friends who are turning more normie.

Ed, i think there is grounding in that maturity idea with some of the shows. i dont think mlp has "deep messages" but i watch it for the nostalgia of those high color, high energy shows of my childhood. on the other hand, shows like adventure time go into some darker and deeper philosophical territory, and steven universe has good morals and messages (not in a preachy way as many like to bitch about) and the amount of easter eggs and theory crafting and foreshadowing really shows that the team put a lot of effort and feeling into the show. they cared and they wanted it to be great and it was cartoons like gravity falls take inspiration from conspiracy theories and mythos. the humor is more adult as well without being crude. while it does have 'le random' humor, overall id say its more of a mature show that tackles the aspects of growing up. star vs subverts the notion of all monsters are evil and makes you sympathize with the enemy. i wouldnt compare anime to western cartoons because they are completely different. western cartoons almost always lean on humor. sure, cartoons can have drama in them but its nothing like the dark tones animes can take on. plus animes as a whole tend to be adult inclined, even the younger shows. /speel
