Panda's shitpost thread

Honestly i miss when times were much simpler and i still had my innocence. I remember when i was young and my grandma used to pick me up from school and we would just walk around. We would walk everywhere, ride the city bus all that. Just living in the moment. People would be nice and racism didnt seem to exist to me, violence was never around, sitting at the cool kids table and joking with friends.

That's something that comes with age. You find yourself being nostalgic about the smallest things. Try to keep it in that arena, never let it start crossing into regret territory. Don't sweat the things that don't matter, take vacations and trips often (I know you do), build or make things,, appreciate the friends you have, and love fiercely.

Ya know something? I'm beginning to doubt the power of nastalgia. Last night I figured I'd play a game I haven't played in like twenty years (Wanted them feeeeeeels!!!), next thing you know, my current life anxieties over powered any and all feelings of nastalgia. Part of that nastalgia was because I had no real responsibilities back then, where as now I most definitely do and trying to recapture that feeling just isn't the same anymore. Maybe it's just me.

@yaasshat Tetris lvl 40? Jk... curious though, what game?

Oh, just something stupid in the grand scheme of things, Yoshi's Island. I only restarted that because of the woman I'm seeing and she happened to bring it up a little while ago. I figured I'd like to revisit them feels, sort of did and then anxiety of life kinda took a dump on them feel good feels... Depression/adulting sucks at times. Although, the original Tetris is DEFINITELY a good one to me, too.

It sounds like you might have been looking for the wrong kind of nostalgia in the wrong place. Usually when people look for a Nostalgia and games it's for what they felt when they played that game, it completely is centered around the game. When people go looking for nostalgia for remembering a time when they didn't have responsibilities and whatnot they usually seem to go to places they went to during that time, hung out with people, friends that they had during those times. Not to say that you couldn't experience that kind of nostalgia from playing a game but most people usually don't look for that kind of Nostalgia when playing a game and it's usually just focused on the game nostalgia.

No, I'm pretty sure I was looking for nastalgia from a game and I'm pretty sure gaming can have that effect on me. Thanks for the enlightenment, though.

My bad. I guess I misunderstood since you said part of the nostalgia was because of a lack of responsibilities when you were younger which is something that doesn't really have to do with games .
yaasshat
Ah, but it does. Thanks again, bruh.
