Random thoughts...

@dyadka_yar no, i usually steer away from those personally because they kinda just look clunky, but if a rare enough insect was inside one id still buy it i prefer domes and framing (especially domes though, because you get a 360 view of the specimen) i have 5 beetles already (including one weevil) and i really want to add an arachnid to my collection, but i think I'm going to settle on lantern fly for now, because its so damn hard to find a good pinned dome spider do you collect as well? if so, may i see them?

@momoichi I do not have any sadly. I used to help somebody out mounting them. I was pretty good at getting pinning them without losing any of their limbs. On a similar note, years ago I did have a preserved Linophryne Arborifera that got lost in a move. Still mad about that one.

@dyadka_yar ooohhh thats a good skill to have if you ever want to collect. wet specimens are soooooo much cheaper than already pinned ones, and iv heard that the pinning process is really calming

It is calming, it's equivalent to building and painting a model or something like that. With your skills at building dolls I'm betting you would be pretty good at it. Granted there is a learning curve to it so best to start with something like the common grasshopper. First 10 or so you will probably end up with knocked off limbs or one that is improperly pinned and sort of curls up in on itself.

@ikunikudiku thats what i thought with the whole CDC page and junk. But i mean countries are opening. Thailand just open, mexico has never been closed, i can only imagine canada is the same. People flying in and out. I just never knew cuz i believed what they told me.

@solid_snake95 you will never understand my pain. This is a group of over 1k men and they are out here living their best lives. Lavish vacation homes, posting pics of the women they are spending tonight with, stacks of cash, strip clubs, being bros celebrating each others birthdays in penthouse suites.
