Ey dude, not bad.
Just a loose gut feeling, but I think you'd respond pretty well to resistance training. Ever thought about it?

haha, if it hurt for a week then it was a programming issue, probs way too much weight for the first training session xD
hmm, if you don't feel like it I get it, but feel free to send up a message if you'd like some pointers in the right direction sometime :p

A thing to remember about working out is you always gotta give ur body time to rest. If you overexert ur muscles from working on then everyday you weaken them. Also no pain = no gain if you are sore from a work out that is good. And most of the time you are either sore because A.) You didnt work out that much before and B.) You didnt do proper stretching before and after

Yeah, mostly what Panda said. Proper planning, nutrition and sleep xD
About the pain tho, a heavy workout sure will feel hard as hell, but if planned properly, there shouldn't be much pain after, if any and only lasting like two days max. So no, being sore from a workout does not necessarily indicate it being good :v
And hmm, the importance of stretching, depending on the type of workout is usually overemphasized too, just like foam rolling (that one especially, very little scientific proof of effectiveness)
