Bokurano is brilliant. You will cry every episode! No one knows about it though.

I loved Yumeiro Patissiere but barely anyone else knows about it or has watched it. I know it's shojo and about cooking so that may be the main reasons (also the first season is 50 eps), but it was a show that taught you about making pastries and sweets, and also that you can do anything if you have enough determination. It didn't focus on the romance aspect too much, just hints, but I think that helped because the focus was more on the main character learning and becoming better at something she really wanted to do even though she kept messing up.

I like this post. I would say Scrapped Princess. It never was mainstream but very well done. :D I would highly recommend.

Well I'd say Future Diary or Mirai Nikki as I call it, It moved me to tears in the last few episodes.

I liked Mirai Nikki a lot too, friends kept telling me to watch it and showed me a clip of the opening which I thought was cool. I like stuff that seems like Battle Royale too, so there's that aspect that drew me in as well.

I just noticed you had 狐 in your name. I'm sure you're well aware it is the word for Fox in Japanese, and in Chinese it is hu with a rising tone on the "u".

oh yeah scrapped princess, very good series. Has a matrix feel to it, actually have the movie size poster of it in my room

@Masuji: Yeah, I like both foxes and the fox spirits in Japanese mythology (I like mythology of a lot of cultures, really). I also just love the word "kitsune" because of the spelling and sound of pronunciation.

What a coincidence. My Chinese name is 孟兆狐,or Meng Zhao Hu. I didn't want to be labeled an Otaku if I encountered a Japanese person, b/c they see it negatively in some circles. They use Otaku to describe obsessions.
