is it worth watching neon genesis evangelion??

Anyone that watches the TV series should only watch up to episode 24, then watch End of Evangelion in place of eps 25 and 26. It's not for everyone tho. It's not some casual shonen or harem. Anyone that decides to watch it will have to pay attention to it, and *gasp* even do a little research to understand the little things... and the ending. Especially the ending (of EoE). I think a lot of people don't really understand what happened at the end. Anyone that complains that Shinji is a whiny bitch (he is) doesn't understand the ending.

Yes, it's sub-fanbase may be filled with poncy twats (#NotAll), but that doesn't change the fact it's a great watch and is regarded as one of the best for a reason. First saw it when a was a young teen and I still enjoy it to this very day...

I've never been a fan of it. I could just never even begin to get into it. I've never even read the manga of it that I have on my shelf. Honestly, I forgot it was even there. o.o But hey, if you think it could be your kind of show then give it a try...

It's one of my favorite anime but I think it's over hyped, over analyzed and overrated. Yes it's deep, yes it has those mindfuck moments, yes it's one of the most influential anime out there, but like don't make a big deal out of it. I'd say try it but the first few episodes may seem slow and less interesting.
