I would say Moribito the guardian of the spirit, I only was able to see it once on tv but it was so good.

Didn't know anything about rugby but All Out!! is pretty good if your a sports anime fan. hard to say if its underrated or not tho

Sazae-san, Doraemon and Anpanman are well-known in Japan and some in other parts of Asia, but due to some too much for other parts of the world to understand or not safe for children to watch, they never made it to others.
