Most toxic fandoms in anime

yoyoitsnsfw
do people know what anime means? anyway I'd say Naruto but nothing else really comes to mind rn

I haven't heard of any anime getting a fanbase as toxic as say... Steven Universe or Sonic. But then again, there are people that will defend their anime or waifus to the death, body pillows and all. And then there's all those Goku VS Superman arguments and Saitama can defeat 'insert your favorite over-powered person here' arguments that turn toxic in a hurry.

All of it, although some specific sub-branches of the fandom are worse than others, particularly the fans of the major Shonen Jump works (Looking at you, Naruto and One Piece). FMA and Inyuasha also had some obnoxious, snobby fucks for fans back in the day...

i think fandoms only become "toxic" when they turn to harassment other than that, just let the kids run like naruto damn, dont ruin their fun, theyr not hurting anyone

I mean.. It sometimes does affect others. My example with the furry fandom had a bad problem with this. The fandom started off very innocently. Almost Disney or SEGA-like. They started having conventions and others started invading their space. So now you have sexual deviants that are into animal play pushing out the original furries. And outsiders assuming every furry is a deviant. This specific topic goes pretty deep. Edit: I blame Space Jam. >:(

i heard about the steven universe "telling a girl to kill herself" over fan art, but is it really the shows fault? these kind of trash people are trash naturally, nothing to do with the show

As much as I hate to say it, Hetalia. This is from an ex fan of the series.
