Very true, but someone's gotta do it. I only hope my sacrifice saves the rest of you.

'Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi' Ep. 01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1554/90270.jpg Synopsis: Female college student Aoi inherited her deceased grandfather's ability to see ayakashi. One day, while Aoi is feeding some ayakashi, a demon appears! He declares that Aoi's grandfather owed a great debt, and as compensation, Aoi must marry the demon! Aoi refuses, and decides to pay off the debt by working. --- Okay, this kind of scenario may have been done a few times, but so far its looking interesting. The main character is a cute. The over all characters and animation are done well. And clearly there won't be a total lack of romance like with 'Natsume Yuujinchou'. Nor will it be Yaoi like 'Yokai Apartment'. Probably will be more like 'Kamisama Kiss'. This one I can recommend giving a try. Let me just be clear guys. This is a romance story.

'Gegege no Kitarou' Ep. 01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1552/90621.jpg Synopsis: (This could be a remake, or a new arc. Looking it up, there's been several remakes of this story, the oldest being 1968. But I couldn't find a synopsis for this new season) The jest of it is... Gegege no Kitarou is a boyish yokai that fights other bad yokai for humanities sake. --- This one was only so so. They kept the character fairly true to his original appearance, so it's kind of old school style. I've never seen the originals though. Any fans of the series?

I watched Kitaro as a kid, but I only have vague memories to this point. For what I remember it was a "monster of the week" kind of series...or yokai in this case, and the new anime seems to be the same. It was ok. Just what I expected, I'll keep watching to see how it keeps going. I also watched today Captain Tsubasa, another anime from my childhood. It's still like I remember, generic sport shonen, but nostalgic :) . Looking forward for some upgraded visuals.

'Captain Tsubasa' (2018) Ep .01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1263/91260.jpg Synopsis: Captain Tsubasa is the passionate story of an elementary school student whose thoughts and dreams revolve almost entirely around the love of soccer. 11-year-old Tsubasa Oozora started playing football at a very young age, and while it was mostly just a recreational sport for his friends, for him, it developed into something of an obsession. In order to pursue his dream to the best of his elementary school abilities, Tsubasa moves with his mother to Nankatsu city, which is well-known for its excellent elementary school soccer teams. But although he was easily the best in his old town, Nankatsu has a lot more competition, and he will need all of his skill and talent in order to stand out from this new crowd. He encounters not only rivals, but also new friends like the pretty girl Sanae Nakazawa and the talented goalkeeper, Genzo Wakabayashi, who shares the same passion as Tsubasa, and will prove to be a treasured friend in helping him push towards his dreams. Representing Japan in the FIFA World Cup is Tsubasa’s ultimate dream, but it will take a lot more than talent to reach it. --- Like Whisp said, this is a remake of the original.

'3D Kanojo Real Girl' Ep. 01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1806/90190.jpg Synopsis Tsutsui Hikari is an otaku, and he mostly avoids social life. Hikari has only one friend at school, who is also a social misfit, and he is mocked brutally by most of his classmates for being creepy and weird. One day, he ends up having to clean the school pool with Igarashi Iroha, who appears to be pretty much everything he hates in real-life girls. She skips school, has a blunt manner, doesn't have female friends, and seems the sort to be promiscuous. However, she is friendly to Hikari, and even stands up to the people who make fun of him. Hikari's bitterness and trust issues lead him to say pretty harsh things to Iroha, but she never dismisses him as creepy. After a while, it starts to look like Iroha may become his first real-life, 3D girlfriend! Will he be able to handle it? --- Just so you know this one is also a shoujo romance. Something like 'beauty and the geek'. My first thought was man the protagonist is such a dork. But actually he turned out to be pretty okay. They protagonist's and his friend's characters are only so so. The show lost points for the friend character in my opinion, but the girl's character (Iroha) is pretty interesting. The plot is a little cliché... Yet strangely more feasible than you think. Iroha is strangely very much like my best friend, and this show is oddly reminding me of my own life. I'd say it's worth at least giving the first episode a try. I'm gonna have to keep watching this one just for the nostalgia

'Gundam Build Divers' Ep.01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1701/90388.jpg Synopsis: The Gunpla Force Battle Tournament is a big event held in GBN once per year. Competing in the final round are Avalon, led by the champion Kyoya Kujo, and the elite 7th Panzer Division led by the cunning Rommel. Starting with Kyoya's Gundam AGE II Magnum, a variety of Gunpla take to the field to determine which is the strongest force! --- The opening was very cringingly cliché and ultra geeky. I couldn't get through the first half of the episode fast enough. Never mind the script/plot mistakes. This is definitely geared towards for younger kids. The characters and dialogue are pretty childish. And I don't get the whole tranny with young boys thing. Are they trying to say, "Hey kids, don't be scared of guys dressed in women's clothes and acting like a girl. It's perfectly safe to let them hug you"? That guy had 'stranger danger' written all over him. But I'm clearly not their demographic, so what do I know.

Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These - Kaikou (Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Die Neue These) Ep. 01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1571/91315.jpg Synopsis In humanity's distant future, two interstellar states—the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance—are embroiled in a never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Müsel and Yang Wen Li as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. --- Maybe it's just the way the Empires characters are, but this gave off a very yaoi vibe. The plot and dialog left a bit to be desired, and the fighting was a bit dull as well. I suppose in this era both life and space ships are cheap. Maybe in the 2nd episode when the battle changes directions, things will be more interesting.
