What Cliche in Anime you mostly hate?

digitalwolf001
I guess for me it would be that we always follow the hero of the story. I would love an anime that flips this on it's head and it turns out the character we've been rooting for is the villain.

I don't like the out-of-nowhere friendship power in some anime.

Unnecessary and overused fanservice. It gets on my nerves to the point where I end up just not watching the anime to the end.

INTERRUPTED CONFESSION SCENES!!!OMG need i say more. like the first time its a little funny, second time your start to feel a little sorry but its still pretty funny, but by the third time i'm honestly just annoyed with the whole thing.

Common answer here, but overuse of fanservice. Some is fine but can be annoying if it's overdone. Also, running with toast in mouth because they're late to school. Random, but annoying. lol

I'd personally say the mediocre or weaker MCs in romance/school/drama/slice of life anime that I've seen. Cannot say if it happens in action or anything like that. Mostly that's not an anime's fault, it's the mangas but, still. If I had to go purely on anime, I have to be generic and agree with fan service. Look, I'm a 20 year old man, fill in the spaces here but come on, it gets to be too much at times. Even when I'm watching normal, nothing weird going on SoL stuff, I swear they throw fan service into THAT now too! Like I don't want that! They already sexualize this stuff on dang Rule 34 man if I wanna go see that, I would but I don't want to okay!? GOSH <Rant over>

Fairy tail would be a good example of the type I don't really like - forced fan service and out-of-nowhere friendship power. After saying that however, I started watching it long ago and at this point if a new season comes out I'll have to continue with the story.

One that frustrates me is the constant game of "will they or won't they" that never seems to resolve. So many protagonists, particularly males, are either blatantly oblivious (frustratingly so) to their romantic interests that it becomes frustrating, or, they know their feelings but spend so long fleshing them out before making a move that a series sometimes ends abruptly with no real resolution to that plot point. Sometimes the most you ever get is an accidental blushing hand hold. And it's like come on!

Harems romances... Teenage girls being the ONLY ones who can battle whatever evil is plaguing the world. Bad guys that talk WAY too much... especially when they have to explain whatever childhood trauma that turned them evil before acting their victim. The fan service has gotten out of control. Especially with all the loli fan service. They seriously need to rein that shit in.
