Anime Winter Season 2017/2018

<.< >.> Well... I'll tell you... First I warmed up and stretched my body so I wouldn't pull a muscle. Then I focused and prepared myself mentally. And then... I clicked my mouse button a few times and started typing... It was touch and go a few times, but I kept on typing. And there it was. It was all in the preparation and the will to persevere. Someday, with training and practice, you will be able to do it too. Or not...

'Mitsuboshi Colors' This one was pretty consistent of being whimsical and nonsensical from start too finish. https://thumbs.gfycat.com/OldfashionedArcticGermanpinscher-max-1mb.gif This pretty much sums it up.

'Slow Start' Overall it was a very cute anime with lots kawii moments. It was a bit more yuri than I was expecting, but in a fairly tame sense. Full points for cute characters. But the story itself was only so so.

'3-gatsu no Lion' (March Comes Like a Lion) This was a really good season for this show. Had some very heartwarming moments that almost got me to tear up. Never would have expected a gem like this to come from an anime about Shogi. Those 3 sisters are so dang adorable. They really made the whole show. Full points for characters and story. Very dramatic. Definitely hits you right in the heart giving you all the feels. (still two episodes left)

I may be wrong, but I heard Sora yori mo Tooi Basho has 1 episode left yet. Anyway, it's already my favorite from this season.

'Mahoutsukai no Yome' (The Ancient Magus' Bride) Here is another exceptional show. They did a pretty good job on the second season as well. This one is definitely worth recommending. With it's more serious tone towards faires and magic, it's well rounded enough that most anyone would enjoy it.

'Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san' I actually enjoyed watching this one. For a slice of life comedy about a boy getting teased by the girl who sits next to him, it was pretty fun an cute. And such a great ending to the season. Personally, I found myself identifying with the protagonist Niskikata. I have a friend that does stuff like that to me. Makes me hate how gullible I am. Just the other night we had a 2 hour conversation in a game, at the end of which she texts on the phone saying she can't login tonight because she's having issues with her password. I replied, "then who have I been talking to the last couple hours." She texted me back, "I don't know?", and a few comments later follows up with "Just kidding". She totally had me going. I've quit trying to get it her back, because it always blows up in my face. Kinda sad to see this one end.

'Kokkoku' That was an interesting story. What would you do if you could freeze time? I'm betting it wouldn't be anything like that. Good story, good characters, lots of action and suspense. All in all it was a good show worth recommending. The way it ended was a little anticlimactic, but I'm glad it ended how it did. It's nice sometimes to end a show with a sense of resolution.
