Anime Season - Spring 2017

@coolpenguin what do you think about DBS? I'm tired of listening that is no good blah blah so I want to know an opinion from someone that actually watches the series instead of being a total hater. I love them and I know they have made mistakes than don't look good but the old series had them too but we didn't focused on that!!! And what about Gin no Guardian?
coolpenguin
@asukaangel Well, I grew up on the Dragon Ball Universe. I've watched Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and read that Manga. As for Super, well it started off a little rocky. They decided to rehash the Movies for the first chunk of episodes only in worse quality. Poor decision on their part and it really drew most of the hate for the series. However, it definitely picked up momentum after that. The story is getting more interesting, at least as far as the Dragon Ball Universe is concerned. In this most recent arc the quality has also gone up. I think it's at the very least rapidly becoming on par with what Dragon Ball Z was in it's heyday. So, in short, it's slow to start up, almost painfully so, but it's getting a lot better. Worth the watch if you enjoyed any of the previous installments, in my opinion. I actually came upon Gin no Guardian from its Manga. I was actually pretty surprised it became an Anime. It was the same for Quan Zhi Gao Shou. As far as Mangas are concerned they were both interesting so far as the Shonen Game World genre goes, which is quickly becoming pretty over saturated at the moment. If you're looking for a bad @ss MC then Quan Zhi Gao is definitely for you, and if you want something that develops a little slower but also has a bad @ss MC (later on) then Gin no Guardian is for you. Gin no Guardian is only a 5-10 minute mini-episode series though, so if you're not into that then you'll probably want to pass. Besides all that, neither of these have any deep mind-tingling stories or plot, but they are fun to watch.

@coolpenguin Thankss and yesss me too!!! I'm hardcore on my love for saiyans!!! I can wait for that Battle Royale to start and as fans we know they screwed up a lot at the beginning but if we do not support the series who will? It was about time to have them back. On the other side, I'm watching both and I got to them because I watched a "shonen ai" let's say soft ya... called Spirit Pact and liked the animation. Later I saw Gin no guardian so I decided to give it a try and then found Gao and the difference is big!!! Gin is like funny and cute but Gao is very serious and even though I'm not a hardcore gamer it got me, it seems to me that the game Glory exists. But I don't know for sure.

Thanks for pointing out "Quan Zhi Gao Shou". I almost missed that one. I have a hard time with Chinese ones. They talk so fast, it's hard keeping up with the subtitles. (-_-)

I just want Gohan to make a comeback T^T Just waiting for Log Horizon to hurry up, that is by far my favorite of the Game Genre. And Picking up Girls in a Dungeon, that one too.

Likewise. Log Horizon was one of my favorites too. It felt like the story was on a much larger scale than the rest. Especially with the shear number of characters in it. Picking up Girls in a Dungeon just barely fits into that Genre, but I suppose the skills and levels are game like though. For that matter "Hai to Gensou no Grimgar" would kind of fit too.

@coolpenguin I think he is going to come back pretty strong but you know... in his own style! There are so many characters coming back to the stage and that`s just great! @wesley-sensei You haven`t said anything yet about what I asked you. Sakurada and Fukumenkei...

@asukaangel Sorry, my bad. I took it as more of a statement than a question. Hmm, well they killed off my favorite character in the second episode. That was pretty bad. But I don't think that's what you mean. Screwing with time isn't a good idea. The way it's setup, they basically only get one chance at a reset, and who knows what kind of chain reaction of events can unfold by changing one tiny little thing. I guess that was the point of killing off my favorite character from the first two episodes. He reset time making one insignificant change and someone ended up dying as a result. And it's even worse still letting people know you can do it. What villain wouldn't want to get their hands on that power. Well, we'll just have to wait and see. The previews for the next episode looked like something serious is going to go down. Maybe something they changed had a negative impact on someone else without them even realizing it. I'll have to get back to you on Fukumenkei, watching it is on my todo list for this weekend.

@asukaangel You're probably right about Fukumenkei Noise. As moody as those two boys are there's bound to be some serious drama. And yeah I get what you mean about it being forced. I have one serious complaint about this anime. Why on earth is a high school choir singing "twinkle twinkle little star"? And then having them sing it over and over and over again in the 2nd episode, I was about to lose my mind. Of all the child songs to pick. Sheesh. Did you happen to watch Fuuka last season?
coolpenguin
As saturated as the Genres have become, Game World and Stranger in a New World are my top favorites. They're just interesting. That's just my escapism showing though lol xD
