What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

Hey! I'm Remy. 26. Well my first anime ever was Ranma 1/2. But *what turned me into an Otaku came years later and oddly enough by the same person, Inuyasha. xD I watched anime on and off but nothing obsessive. To me they were just nice cartoons with interesting stories. But When I got older I watched Inuyasha and was officially obsessed. Otaku status activated. lol. *Edited to fix spelling

Had seen quite a few before, but the first one to drag me into anime was Fullmetal Alchemist. Before long, I was looking for other shows to watch once I finished the series.
