What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

I had a friend who kept trying to get to watch one and then I said one night "I'll try one but on my own terms". So the first anime I ever watched was Dog Days and I liked it but SAO and Fairy Tail really kept me watching. #WaitingForDDSeason4

It wasn't that long ago that I really got into anime thanks to a really good friend of mine. However, the ones they suggested me is probably the worst order to introduce someone to the genre, especially if they're someone that came from a private school system. I started with Fullmetal Alchemist and Brotherhood, thoroughly enjoying both. With all the alchemy and such it was a bit of a stretch especially since my mom didn't even like me watching Harry Potter, but I really enjoyed it. The second, however, nearly made me quit watching all together. Soul Eater was such a culture shock to me in the first few episodes. However, I gave it a chance. Good thing I did, because now it's my favorite anime :P

Hi, I'm Shyla. My first anime was Ouran High School Host Club and Black Butler was the one who officially dragged me down anime hell. Since then I've been constantly looking for more anime to watch. I'm very picky and love comedy and romance anime ^_^

Hi everyone, My first anime was "heidi", really nice Story and so. ThaT was before pokemon dragonball and so on were even aired in germany. (Heidi was the Frist anime.aired in germany) that anime game me the kick as little one. The anime which Made me an otaku was mobile suit gundam wing:)
