Worst Anime Character EVER

I think mine would be Shinji from Evangelion. All he did the entire series was whine whine whine as people were dying all around him. "Oh boo hoo! I have to go into a giant robot that can destroy anything. Woe is me!"

One of mine that I always will hate is Issei Hyoudou from Highschool DXD, the background of the story and the animations for combat are great, but his lack of seriousness and illogical perverted mind ruins most of the story for me.

I dunno if I can put my finger on a worst. If a character makes you notice them and remember them, then I'd say they're successful. Whether you like them or not is your personal biz. A worst character would likely be someone whom the vast majority of people find one dimensional and forgettable. But if we're just harping on characters we don't like, then I'd go with, Kiritsugu Emiya.

Suguha Kirigaya /Leafa(SAO) Makoto Hanamiya (Kuroko no basuke) Cordelia Sakamaki (Diabolik Lovers) Keisuke Sannan (Hakuouki)

@jineko I hope he isn't like Eren Jaeger. I haven't watched Attack on Titan yet, but I'm really hopeful about it. It would be hard to top Shinji in overall annoying uselessness. Shinji is so cowardly he'd rather watch everyone die around him as he sobs in the corner. I don't care if a character hates to fight or not, but at least try to take part in the story around you!

Char, Lala and Quess. If you know anything about those characters no further explanation is needed. And it goes without saying that Sasuke (Naruto), Kamille (Z Gundam)and Shinji (Evangelion) are all wangst with very little character depth. I would also add Kenshi Masaki from War on Geminar. Not that he is a bad character, but he is so completely infallible in every conceivable way it just brings the whole show down.
