i was 12 years old when i first noticed senpai. at that age its easy to get a crush on someone, and easy to find a new one. but there was something genuine about senpai, something my heart held onto. doki doki all through that summer, each time he saw me he had a special smile just for me. i mightve just been imagining it but i think senpai liked me too. it was years before i saw my senpai again. fast forward to age 19, new years eve. senpai noticed me at a party. and as if my wish came true, senpai asked for a kiss. the year after senpai would send texts every day "are you free today?” he would ask. but i couldnt fall in love with him, another romantic suitor stood in the way. he wouldnt give me up to senpai, no matter what. now senpai is a mere memory and my heart still pines for him
