As a word of warning, the big thing I want to say on this is, know what you're into, know what your partner is into, and be aware of the difference. My last GF was into the masochist side of BDSM. I told her I willing to experiment but I didn't know if I had that streak in me to torture, especially since we hadn't even had regular sex yet.
