I loved that the games locked into each other! All the classic games are so nostalgic for me. Sonic was definitely better under SEGA. SA2 was the end of an era.
That being said, I did enjoy Sonic Riders.

You gotta play SA2 if you get the chance. It doesn't really compare to SA1 which was, okay. I love the classic Sonic games of course but I am a bug fan of narrative and SA2 did it best. The ending alone...
That being said the narrative driven games after SA2 were okay. Wasn't crazy about Sonic 2006 or Unleashed.

Ahh... I've never played SA2. Only SA1. I've played all the Genesis and Saturn games, but never really was into it beyond those... I did get Generations though (and had hoped for more 3D classic... but that seems to not be on Sega's radar).
