If you like Cyber punk, I'd suggest Psycho Pass. If not, My favorite is Fairytail, but that might not suit you. Its is kind of childish, but I love how it has my 4 favorite things in anime, Comedy, Romance, Violence, and depth.

Blue exorcist. I know it isn't as unpopular as most of the animes you are suggesting, but I truly believe it is one everyone should watch. It has a really good balance between comedy and serious, with very emotional themes. You would not like this if you like a bit of romance, because it is weak in that area, but despite it's shortcomings, it is a truly great show.
