Well, hello everyone. I am completely new to this sort of thing, but it definitely seems like the place to meet new people with similar interests.
So, a little bit about me: I am an aerospace engineer, currently. I do plan to eventually pursue a PhD, likely after a couple of years in industry.
I enjoy delving into anime/manga and getting immersed in their worlds whenever I can. It is definitely a nice way for me to "getaway" from everyday life. I am looking for someone to help share in this interest and hopefully get to know them on a deeper, more personal level.
I am not a complete Otaku (ex. I'm not lethargic), however I am quite timid/shy in person. When around people, I am usually very introverted, but once I get to know someone, I am quite open. Feel free to to try and strike up a conversation with me.
Hm... Along with this, I am also looking for new people to forge friendships with who have similar interests, as I do not know many people who are "Oktau"/extremely invested in anime/manga.
I am currently planning to attend DragonCon 2015 and am looking forward to it as it will be the first con I will attend.
In terms of hobbies, just a few of them are:
- Anime
- Manga
- Gaming (PC & Console)
- PC Building/ Overclocking
- Listening to Music (though I have sadly neglected this hobby lately)
