Hi, my name is Emory, and I am a fourth (yes, I have a little roman numeral IV after my surname :P).
I am going to try to keep this (relatively) short: I'm smart, studious, sensitive, very artistic, creative, and an unapologetic nerd :). I enjoy travel, New England sports teams, history, geography, geology, and just generally learning more about the world around me. I consider my strongest attribute my devotion to the people I know and love... as well as a powerful ambition to become a published author (I've written four books). I'm not after one night stands or casual week-long flings - I was never at 'that point in my life' to begin with, and I am definitely not now. Rather, I am looking for someone who is seeking the same thing as me: something serious. Oh, and I'm not keen on social justice warriors, tattoos, branding, or drug use, so if that's your scene, sorry!
I'm searching for an intelligent woman who is neither a workaholic nor a huge party gal (introverts are welcome, as are BBW, but if you are neither, that's fine too!). When I say I'm looking for my best friend, that's the honest truth - I think your soul mate should be your closest companion and lover all at the same time. And please have a passion for history, road trips, learning new things, and doing silly activities like going to historical sites, renaissance festivals, etc!

- I both love and am terrified by wolves (same for volcanoes).

- I own two border collie sisters, and they are just lovely companions.
- I'm better at writing dialogue for female characters than male.
- I love California (the place; I'm ambivalent about the people there).
- I once hand-sewed a giant, feather-covered Victorian promenade hat for an ex. I'd never before or since crafted head wear, but it turned out great (see profile pic).
