Well if you were serious.. then which animals are they?

. @vezax I guess you are misunderstanding the meaning of emotions. Emotions are any instinctive/intuitive feelings apart from quanititative reasonings.. so basic hunger, thirst, happiness, sadness are all emotions. And animals definitely feel hungry XD i think even you can agree on that :p however the emotions you talked about are of more complex nature, and with that respect i dont know about cats but dogs grieve when their master is dead and go to their grave very frequently, infact ones the master dies the dog's health also slowly deteriorates!

. @vezax I noticed one thing though.. Most animals dont have language! Cats and dogs communicate through basic instincts and dont have a language.. and the only animals who have language are humans, dolphins, whales, apes and crows! Coincidence? Maybe the cats dont give a shit coz they cant talk :V
Marcus @marcus_k Yeah. Language is a giant tool really changing things. We still mainly rely on body nonverbal messages in communication, that is true, but language allows us to discern our thoughts quite precisely and articulate them. Converse not only with others, but with our very own selves? Wowzerz, talk about a tool for the self-improvement of consciousness xD
