All the way out in Hawaii, eh? Haven't been to that State yet. Is it as nice as the post cards make it out to be or do you feel it's one of those places best to visit, but not stay? I live on the east coast in Virginia by the way. Though it may be presumptuous of me to assume, I get the impression you're family is native to the island.
