anime: shiki, higurashi, mirai nikki,corpse party, another, deadman wonderland, btooom (extremely violent though), parasyte, tokyo ghoul, terra formars (really violent too but is really good), Gokukoku no Brynhildr
manga: ousama game kigen, apocalypse no toride (decent zombie manga), dead days (really good zombie manga), crime zone (vampires), kissxdeath, Torikago no Tsugai, 6000: Rokusen
