I never paid attention to college radio. I actually heard about them through friends around '96 or '97. My first concert was Depeche Mode in '91. I mostly learned about bands from when MTV actually had music videos in the early 90s. How I first got into Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Megadeth, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, NIN, etc.
