Hi! Name is John, I'm an aerospace engineering student. I'm worried I'm not a big enough anime fan to be on this site, but definitely into anime, video games and all that. Big nerd.
Some basic things about me:
-5'10"
-250 lbs (I've lost 20! I'm working on exercising and losing more >_< )
-White boy (kinda tan, but culturally white as can be)
-Favorite anime is Trigun, not because I think it's the best, just hits all the right notes for me
-Currently playing league of legends, Monster Hunter 4U, Diablo 3, and Baldur's Gate 2.
-Would love to meet someone who's willing to put up with a major dork, I guess.
Non bullet point stuff is important too! I love going camping and hiking, take a book or manga and relax, sleep out in the open air, maybe some fishing. I'm told by friends that the kind of camping I do is relatively rough, but it's what I'm used to thanks to my family, and I think it's great! Going to the beach is cool, but I'd rather swim and try (and fail) to body surf than just walk. Going to movies is fun! You may need to tell me to stop making snide comments and jokes though.
If I had to say what my absolute favorite food is, there's an italian restaurant near me called Conco d'Oro, they make these cool things they call arancine that I've never seen anywhere else yet. They're fist sized balls filled with rice, egg, peas, and other stuff, covered in marinara sauce, and so much more than the sum of its parts, unless they add literal magic without telling me. I love trying out new foods, anytime I go to a new restaurant and see something weird I'm very tempted to try it! I'm not picky but I don't always like it. The only thing I really tend to stay away from is fish, but crab, lobster, shrimp and such are good with me.
I LOVE Pathfinder RPG! Basically dungeons and dragons. I'm currently playing in two campaigns and running another one. I think tabletop RPG's are something absolutely everyone should try! So many people think it's the ultimate nerd fest with super serious role playing, fake elf ears and costumes included, which it CAN be but way more often it's just a barrel of laughs that doesn't take itself seriously at all! Probably 10% serious role playing, 20% number crunching, and 70% just screw around laughs and jokes and general shenanigans. It does not deserve the reputation of nerd culture that it gets.
I'm not very good at small talk, but I can hold a conversation (read: rant for 15 minutes) forever about some cool physics fact, a barely relevant philosophy subject, or an aspect of game design, things like that.
I like making terrible puns. I'm sorry in advance. Well... no not really XD.
At the end of writing this about, which maybe I wrote more than I needed, I realized there's one more thing I could say about who I'm looking to meet. I would really love to meet someone who's into anime, games, and all that, but most importantly, someone whose life is more about other things. Which is why I'm not sure I'm in the right place, but maybe!
