Looks are important, but don't misunderstand what is to look good. You do not need to be slim/voluptuous/tall/etc. to have good looks. Personally I think that looking good means to do the best with what we have, have a good hygiene, maybe do some make up (women), but just to improve your factions. If you really think you are a little over your weight it would be a good idea to do diet or something, but not because your looks, but because your health. My last girlfriend was kinda chubby, and I was attracted to her because of her good care of body and personality. We just broke because I went 1 year to a intership and we didn't see each other that much.
