Hey, nothing wrong with the Sax either though. That can make beautiful music as well. I def get the bittersweet thing though. I had a few rough teachers when I was younger as well. Had one that insisted it was a waste of time because of quit when I went in to highschool. He was wrong on that one, though. Kinda took what I learned over the years and made a life out of it. Nothing wrong with making mistakes though. At the end of the day mistakes are just learning opportunities. I love music and I wanted to do something that I love to do. I get to teach kids and adults about how music can enhance and enrich their lives. It's one of the most therapeutic things in the world and a lot of people don't realize it. At the end of the day if I can help make enhance their life then I'm all for it. Not everybody sticks with playing but most of the time they realize how much it can help. Haha, I'm ok. When I write I'm more of a bluesy/jazz type guy. Maybe throw a little rock in as well. Honestly just try to look at things that have happened in my life or either friends lives. It tends to be easier to sit down and focus when a big event happens, especially something sad. Not that I enjoy being sad it just seems easier to put emotions down on paper and translate them to music after. I listen to A LOT of different music and that gives me different ideas for blending and helps drive what blends together well. I do sing but it's getting more and more rare. Tbh it's something I did a lot but I had a pretty longstanding relationship go south and sometimes it can be hard for me now. I'm sure I'll get back heavier into it when the time is right. Not sure about talent, haha. Probably more along the lines of just doing it for a long time now. Favorite song is a hard question but if you want one that stands out immediately when the question is asked then Dream Theater- far from heaven comes to mind. It's short, beautiful, and kinda hits close to the heart at times. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5HcLGEacaWU Yes, it's so easy to get lost in. I love to see what kind of story every song is gonna tell. I even like to just close my eyes and listen to awesome melodies and instrumentals from time to time. So I definitely get it. It's always good to have something that kinda let's you shut the world out. Started playing when I was 6 so it's been a little while now. That's true, haha. Unfortunately even more cleaning comes after the bigger messes though. Not a master, per se, but I do enjoy it. Different kinds of chicken, steaks, burgers, etc. I even wrap a lot of my vegetables and throw them up there. Grilled pineapple is fantastic, too. For real. Helps when I'm sad, happy, hype, or just want to relax. There's something for every kind of mood, honestly. There have been albums that have gotten me through pretty rough periods of my life so I think I'll carry an appreciation for music to the grave. I like to have the radio going when I grill and sometimes I catch myself singing along lol so I know that feeling. Not a bad thing, though. I'll see if I can find the song and give a listen. That sounds delicious. Def something I'd like to try. Cobblers are pretty good and usually pretty simple too. I can eat it but there aren't that many places around here that do a bug variety. I also try to steer clear of things like it too often just for health reasons. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt too much but eh, it's in my head that way, so lol. Took me a little longer to log in today. So much going on. Had to drive a lot and take care of my dog when I got home. Busy week but tomorrow is Friday and for that, I'm definitely thankful. Maybe I'll get to sit down and read or watch something sometime this weekend. Hope you had a good day.

That's awesome. Piano is a beautiful instrument and imo more people should take some time with it. Just go in expecting it to take a little time. It's always easier if you can find a solid teacher to help too. Alternatively videos are great for anything from basics to advnced play. I've done a few pieces but I've mostly kept them to myself, haha. Most of what I get to play in restaurants is purely classical. There's a piano bar down town that I play at from time to time that has dueling pianos and that's always great. I can play by ear most of the time but I was taught to read sheet music really young so it's a hard habit to kick at times. Improv is a lot of fun. Sometimes when I get the chance I just play and see what comes out. I like to grill a lot. Skewered chicken and pineapples slathered in bbq sauce is usually pretty good. Honey glazed salmon is good. I def understand the baking thing though. So much room for creativity in baking. My brother used to experiment with all sorts of things and I was always curious about it. Tried to bake a pound cake a while back but it fell and wasn't the best. I've not really experimented with it much since. What kind of music do you like? What are some things you enjoy baking?

I'm sure I'll enjoy it. In the process of trying to get some stuff moved at the moment on top of work has left me with a little less free time. Classically trained on piano and been playing since I was around 6 yrs old so it's def my comfort zone. I'm not bad with a guitar but I make my money on a set of keys and singing for the most part. Music is life for me though, lol. Anything from classical, jazz, blues, to prog, etc. We don't really have too many people around here that teach and sometimes I get a little more attention than I want but it's money and I enjoy it for the most part. Cooking is always fun, too. Really like to experiment with new things when I get a chance and grilling out on a nice day is always fun

I downloaded the first few chapters or princess jellyfish but haven't gotten a chance to read any of it yet. I'll def let you know when I get a chance to start any of them. I just play in a few restaurants from time to time for extra money. Primarily a music teacher but playing in restaurants helps me get extra clients. Hby?

I'll check it out. I think I grabbed it when I was running through and loading new things up on my iPad so I could read on the go. I'll def check both series out when I get a little down time, maybe sometime this weekend. Been a little busy with more clients than usual and been playing in some restaurants here lately.

Yea, I just replaced my iPad and started downloading some new things on mangastorm. Started reading bouniji tonight and it's pretty cool so far. Grabbed a bunch of other things I intend to start as well and a good deal are romance, comedy, psychological stuff. I might have check out the dark Hunter stuff. Been itching to sit down and get lost in some new stuff

Exactly, haha. Anything with an interesting plot can catch my interest but high fantasy is definitely my favorite. Just something about getting lost in a world of magic, knights, mythical creatures, and romance. Comics and manga are definitely things I indulge in as well. How about you?

I don't really have a preference for it. Just kinda happens sometimes. A lot easier to get lost in music, a good book, or a good show tbh. That said, a lot better now that I've escaped reality for a little while. Probably about to sit down and read for a little bit.

Sorry, didn't see this since it had been a few days since logging in. Kinda got lost in the land of reality for a little while. How's it going?
