I was born and raised in Los Angeles. From the time I was a young child anime fascinated me. I was 10 or 11 when Sailor Moon first aired on (early) daytime TV. It naturally grew from them. Some 15 years later, I'm still just as in love with anime, but have also added J-pop and K-pop, and philosophy to the mix as well. Through my scholastic years, I used anime as theme for a few essays.
In 2010 I also spent two months in Japan as a home-stay. It was an experience and I hope to go back in the near future.
