Serbia and Montenegro decided to remain in a rump Yugoslav state known The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Sadly, Yugoslavia would be the bloodiest break up of a Slavic state with the Slavs killing their fellow Slavs who were once their brothers and neighbors.
