hey thanks :3! sucks to get older but the presents and having fun eases the existential pain =w= http://33.media.tumblr.com/d7e447482fc9bb9f18472aa44d2a6542/tumblr_na6db864421rz6w0do2_500.gif

永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 You're quite welcome, Lamby! And yeah, I know the feeling all too well. Getting older does suck. Still, I hope you managed to enjoy yourself regardless. xP

永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Wow! I love the character designs and expressions here. And this song was pretty great.

i would love to and thanks for asking instead of just sending a request with 0 context xD (i hate when people do that ;w; just clogs up the friends list) have a gif https://media0.giphy.com/media/cIziBk92gW5rO/source.gif (btw have you ever seen mlp?)
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 You're welcome. I usually don't accept random friend requests myself. I prefer observing from a distance first, or reading someone's bio beforehand. And I noticed in your bio that you mentioned that you're not accepting random requests, so I figured you'd rather I ask you on your wall and I wanted to be courteous. xP
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 And thanks for the gif btw! I have watched MLP but no never got into it. I do know of its existence and the brony community. xD I also know that Lauren Faust is the creator and writer of the show. And I do really like her writing for Foster's home for Imaginary Friends. She wrote for some of the greatest episodes.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 And I think it's really cool that a show originally aimed for girls in the past, has since then appeal to both guys and girls.
momoichi
Lamby @momoichi she did! but she also wrote the notorious "Bendy" episode >W> and some shitty eps of mlp as well. i cant help but compare her to her husband, which i know is so unfair xD have you seen any of craigs newer cartoons? like wander over yander?
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Oh man yeah the Bendy episode definitely failed prettyyyy bad. The episode was just so mean spirited, Mr. Herriman and Frankie were completely out of character. Jeff Bennet even voiced Bendy in that episode, and it's a shame cause I like his voice work. Anyways, yeah Craig Mccracken is definitely the talent out of the two. Love his work. And I actually haven't seen any of his newer stuff. Is Wander over yander any good?
momoichi
Lamby @momoichi i actually havent seen it! but i hear only amazing things about it xD (one of our users here loves animation too, baka, and hes told me how good it is!) it was, again, canceled too early though :/ this is happening so often to newer cartoons. its why i love cartoonnetwork so much, they treat cartoons the best. disney absolutely abuses its cartoons, moving them to disney XD when they dont meet the gold standard. same with nickelodeon and the spongebob standard, but i dont think theyv been given as quality cartoons (except fish hooks, i heard that was really good and it had justin roiland voicing one of the characters)
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Ooh. Sounds intriguing I'll give it a go especially since I'm a fan of Craig's work. That is a shame it got cancelled though. I hate when good cartoons get the short end of the stick. I mean, there's been a fair share of terrible cartoons over the years, but there's been pretty good stuff too.It really just depends on the era. I do remember that lots of fans of Teen Titans have a disdain towards Teen Titans Go because CN was apparently running that constantly on their channel over other programming. I haven't had cable in a very long time, so I can't say but I remember TTGO was pretty meh and never cared for it. The original show was so good and I'd rather just watch that. But yeah, CN has probably gotten so much better since then. I remember disney has always been in such a slump since I remember they stopped showing cartoons and ran more live action sitcoms. Nick was milking the heck out of spongebob as well. Again, since then yeah I believe you're right about how the networks aside from CN have treated their good shows like garbage in favor of other cartoons that aren't really good or just plain awful. I haven't seen Fish hooks myself either, but it's probably good?

i looooooooooooooooved it as a kid! it had that dark/adult humor slipped in that worked perfectly for the tone of the show! i had the weirdest but biggest crush on https://66.media.tumblr.com/355555cb268642805d1bc5571acb8ef5/tumblr_oyoxkqMQWQ1tnq32io1_400.gif i actually think around the time fredfredburger came on the show was on the decline that being said i loved that billys friend (cant remember his name) turning out to be a vampire and his granddad being dracula was great xD "vampires dont suck! we bite. and lick."
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Nergal was awesome! One of the best antagonists on the show. And you're probably right about the show declining around the point of Fred Fred Burger. I still think it managed to be consistently creative. Also, Irwin was the name of Billy's friend. He was the black nerd tryin to be cool sayin "Yo" spouting all dat slang. He was a funny kid character though. And yes, Dracula is the best vampa. xP

my favorite part is when vincent just clocks the guy outside of the club because he didn't have the dna to prove he was jerome x3
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Hah yeah, that was a pretty dramatic scene. I'm not sure why, but the part where the real jerome in the wheelchair was being hassled by the detective. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be serious, but I started giggling a little bit. I think it was cause he was so over-the-top in that scene.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Also, great british accent. xP
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 But yeah, the scene where Vincent and Uma Thurman's character going into hiding after decking the detective outside of the club. That was a great scene. Really good cinematography for sure.
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel you're making me wanna rewatch it. the ocean scenes really got to me too D: and the one scene where he almost wasn't able to keep up with the treadmill (i think it was) that made my heart pound!!
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 You definitely should rewatch it! Yeah, so many good scenes!!! Such a good movie.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 I also really liked the brothers rivalry. Antoine tried to warn him to stop what he was doing that moment and he'd be able to get out of that mess. But at the same time even though what he did was wrong and has convicted fraud, he's worked so hard to get where he was to give up his dream of going into space. He's born with an illness that's cursed him until age 30ish so you have to sympathize with Vincent's motivation. Uma Thurman was really good in it too for the scenes she was in. She's an amazing actress in literally just any role I've seen her in. Also, the treadmill scene got me startled too.
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel i really wish i could send more detailed responses but i honestly don't remember much of the movie x3 all i know is it was great. maybe one of my favorites, so glad you enjoyed it
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 It's okay. haha It's a really great film all in all and I'm so glad I saw. I was curious about it since you had recommended it in the past. And I needed more scifi in my diet. xD
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Ooh yeah! Since we're talking about movies. You should totally watch Laputa: A Castle in the Sky or Spirited Away if you ever get a chance. Or even Kiki's Delivery Service. I say Laputa: A Castle in the Sky because it was my favorite movie since I was in middle school and made me appreciate animation as a medium. It blew my mind. They're such great family movies though. Hayao Miyazaki movies are just so so good!
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel keeping that in mind~
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Oh wait I did recommend those movies already haha I goofed up. But yes can't wait if or when you do end up checking out Laputa in particular. -feels giddy-

matty!! are there any good sci-fi anime?
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Oh yeah, definitely! I think I recommended one on your wall awhile back. Check out Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. It's by the studio Gainax and made in 1990 but it's so so so good especially for the time. It's also inspired by 20,000 leagues under the sea by Jules Vernes.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 It was the opening song of Nadia that is I mean. xD
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel aaaa tytyty!! i've really gotta catch up on my list ;w; i'm super behind on everything
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 You're so very welcome! ^_^ And I understand that feeling all too well. There's still so much anime I haven't seen yet
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Oh yeah I don't know if you're into the mecha genre, I'm not really that big into but... I do think Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is pretty good. The mecha genre is still classified as the Science Fiction genre I would think...?
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Oh yeah! Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star. Check those two out. They're pretty good scifi anime.
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel COWBOY BEEEBOOOOOPPPPPP
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Yes! Cowboy Bebop is awesome!

So, I just found out that Dio Brando from Jojo voiced this classic silent swordsman jerk from the Fire Emblem 90's OAV. Now I knew his voice sounded familiar!
eternallunar1
Welp, today marks the day that I have been officially blessed by Jojo.
eternallunar1
Just listened to Blow'in in The Wind from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 or rather it's a vocal version of the ending theme, but man... after so many years. It's still such a pretty song. Even more poignant if you know the significance of the song itself. https://youtu.be/_tGebjYkJDw
eternallunar1
So, I started watching Yu Yu Hakusho recently since it's been on my backlog of anime that I've been meaning to watch. Plus, a couple of friends of mine has recommended it to me before since I haven't really seen it. But holy crap, it's awesome so far. It's becoming a favorite anime of mine! xP
