OH HI
I'm a fat woman in her late 20's who is just looking for someone to be an obstinate geek with - this is, essentially, the long and short of it. I like to point out that I'm fat early on - if you're the type of dude who doesn't like fat chicks, you can just close this window and not waste anyone's time, okay? Okay.
So, uh, about me. I'm a college student who loves analyzing and being involved with media. My major is Media Production, and I enjoy discussing and researching how media effects society on both a wide-scale and individual level. This is exciting stuff to me, which should give you a bit of a clue that you're dealing with someone who finds minutia thrilling.
I enjoy the nerdy passions of talking about fandoms, vidya games, and, on occasion, music. I practically grew up with video games (Mario being the most poignant, but my favourite series is Metal Gear Solid). I was told that I was born with a NES controller, but we're waiting on the DNA results. (THAT WAS A JOKE, THANKS FOR VISITING MY WEBPAGE)
Regarding music: Although I'm not a musician, I have a deep appreciation for music and the culture surrounding it. I grew up being exposed to a wide variety of genres, but I have to say that I really love the following genres the best: classic rock, metal, classical, instrumental, techno, and industrial. If you've heard of VNV Nation (and like them), we'd get along most excellently.
I'm somewhat sarcastic and have a sense of humor that's all over the place, but I'd like to think that I'm hard working and willing to help others where needed. I enjoy volunteering and giving to charity, especially assisting with groups like Child's Play.
Other interests of mine include: reading (mostly non-fiction, but I do enjoy fantasy/science-fiction books from time to time), writing (not terribly well), walking around aimlessly (especially in a city), yoga, cooking (gurl gotta eat), and traveling (on the rare occasion that I can afford it). I also love going to conventions (especially anime/gaming ones) because I'm that involved with geek/gamer culture, such as it is.
When you break it down, I'm looking for a guy with a taste for gaming, a penchant for geeky interests, and who wouldn't mind the occasional foray into museums and the like. Beefy muscleheads need not apply. Men with great beards should IM me via Steam post haste. (ppga_amethyst)
