In general, about Me...I dig anime.
I am interested in aliens, time-travelers and esp-ers... oh wait, that is Haruhi's line.
I run several podcast programs, do interviews, reviews, analysis, convention coverage, Japanese culture programs, space, technology and more. Geekspectrum.org and geekarchaeologists.com We have some shows that are live interactive and others that are recorded. Feedback is always welcome. We are always working to improve the site & content. I am expanding the content of our programming. We are looking for collaboration with people(guys and girls) who would like to contribute journalistic coverage of aspects of otaku/geek culture. Let me know if you are interested.
On a more individual level, No I am not 115, but I am over 21. Sorry girls under 18, we can only be friends.But that is ok. I like the creation side of anime and manga. Interested in the process of animation creation, voice directing, voice acting, subbing & dubbing, anime clubs, box set design, and so on. Also anyone who wants to make their own stuff; eg. manga, cosplay, 3-d printing, prop design,artists, game design, acting, improv, radio theater, script writing, musicians, videography etc. In the studio, I have done a proof of concept for anime overdubbing (fan dub the way studios do overdubs/ADR) but have yet to do any serious projects with that set up. Just waiting for the right individuals and show to move forward.
My personal likes include (not in any particular order):
Travel - been a bunch of places but not everywhere yet.
Books/Movies- anything that tells a good story and/or makes me think.
Music- what ever fits the mood. Psychedelic rock/jam bands are fun sometimes.
Game of Go
Audio theater/theater of the mind
Learning new things - all areas; culture, history, how to, etc.
Peaceful moments for contemplation and reflection
Working with my hands - models, crafts, all sorts. I had a ball when I did glass blowing.
Distance Running - keeping in shape
Massage
Motivated, enthusiastic people
Self improvment
Goal setting
Dislike include:
Counter productive attitudes.
Too much work, not enough time for hobbies.
When funds run low.
The necessity of sleep.
Empty arms when I know there is an Otaku girl out there who is missing the opportunity to snuggle and watch anime with me.
Life is always a work in progress.
