All good points! I think what you said about making sure repeats don't happen is the key thing for me. Like, if I'm meeting someone knew and they immediately have a trait that I /hated/ in a ex, well, I steer clear of it. It's like a little red flag that pops up and screams, "Nope! Not again!" Though, can't say it's a grudge really, because there isn't really anything I hold against any of my exes anymore. It's just those red flags. If anything, I'm probably grateful to them for prepping me for future relationships. That's my take on it, I guess. I'm sure others can relate. But um, not sure if the whole "happy" thing was a rhetorical question, but I can totally make someone happy! I mean, gosh, not to toot my own horn but I'm more than confident in that aspect. I'm the type of person who will go aaall out to put a smile on someone's face, and for the people closest to me, I'll do that much more! Haha, they just have to be worth it, y'know? But see, I don't think it's heartless on anyone's part. At the end of the day, you can only take words for face value, you know? I mean, not saying that you're this way, but if I had a nickle for every "Nice Guy" that actually wasn't nice? Well, I'd have a decent amount of nickles. People have the right to be leary, I mean, you have to be. And even if it isn't just leariness, everyone has the right to choose who they give their time to, nothin' cold or heartless about that. Don't worry about the offense, I'm virtually indestructible when it comes to things like that. xD But really, don't let past occurances shape your views. Life's not fun that way. And golly gee, mister! 0.0; I assumed you're black, but so what, right? I mean, heck. On the flipside, most times people assume I'm /not/ black, but I wouldn't want to be any other race, really. I mean, sure. I could go on about how my great-whatever was Native American, or how my dad's mexican but.. I'm black. I like it. I like me, and you should like you! I mean, not to be offensive or anything, but the whole wanting to be Asian thing is a huge red flag.. @~@ I understand wanting to change things about yourself. I mean, I'm steadily trying to lose weight myself. But changing your race? Also - On a past note, I can see why you might think some one is heartless for judging based on looks, but I dunno... Haha! I don't think anything's wrong with that, really. Pfft, and don't jump on my case, this is coming from me who was friend-zoned to the MAX by her best friend for that very reason.. xD *Sigh~* But, while what's inside is the most important thing, attraction is apart of human nature as well.
