godspell @godspell Finally out with 2 episodes

Argento-chan @argent4 Damn. Every time I'm introduced to something like this I have to do the math to see if I can realistically fit it into my lifespan. Web novels are massive! But thank you, Mr. Godspell, I'll check it out.

godspell @godspell You will be lost in the first episode. Beautifully animated and incredible eldritch horrors.

Haven't planned yet, is it good?
Have you watched Anne Shirley yet? I hate its artstyle and it's rushed compared to the original Akage no Anne, but still... Better than Lazarus and Witch Watch.

Argento-chan @argent4 I have not. I liked the first anime adaptation, but I usually struggle with remakes or retellings unless they fix anime-original endings or they cover all of the source material, like FMA Brotherhood or the new Spice and Wolf. Is this one worth watching?

Argento-chan @argent4 As for Takopii, hm, it depends, do you like suffering? If so, then maybe it will appeal to you.

Also, the show has some terrible plot holes. And with Skinner doing almost nothing, being a very dull antagonist and so on...

Argento-chan @argent4 Yep, Skinner was one of these wasted side characters. They could have done something really interesting by exploring more of his past and what led to the creation of Hapna, it would have made the endind a bit better, too. Hell, there was even an AI modeled after him in that tech cult, but he played such a minor role in the series that it barely made any sense. I wonder if the anime was planned as a one-cour from the start, a lot of those plot holes seem like the result of not having enough time to resolve all the storylines.

Argento-chan @argent4 Oh, by the way, are you watching or planning to watch Takopii no Genzai? That's another story that really suffers from being cut too short. It's such a shame because the first half of the manga is great. I'm even a bit mad after watching the first episode, it was really good!

I remember that scene. They were walking, but barely moved. XD
Hard to say how I would have improved it... The base idea is very generic and boring, the fighting scenes are unrealistic, the characters are flat, their backgroundstories have no relevance, the villain was introduced way too late, without hint...
Probably by putting more effort into building up the other plots/characters and giving the characters more depth/relevance and by connecting the plots.

Just finished Lazarus and... The end made the already poorly-written Anime yet worse. The characters were so flat and forgettable, the action scenes were dumb, especially when deadly injured Axel easily defeated his assassin and Skinner was just a magician. Besides, the assassin side plot had nothing to do with the rest of the story... But it had a cool opening ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Argento-chan @argent4 Yeah, Lazarus has a lot of problems. Though, even if the story was bad, I think the anime could have been okay if it had been executed better. Most of the episodes felt like filler, just exposition dumps about the character's backstories, so all the real development was crammed into the few final episodes. That made everything rushed and superficial. They introduced the main antagonist 4 episodes bofere the end, and the entire conspiracy plot was wrapped up in just two episodes. It really makes you wonder what was the point of anything that happened before that. I agree that the main characters ended up feeling pretty one-dimensional. They were basically the same before and after their backstories were resolved. Meanwhile, some side character were completely wasted due to poor writing and pacing. Personally, I think the anime would've been much better if it had hinted at the government conspiracy from the start and introduced Soryu on the earlier episodes, maybe as an assassing targeting Axel for mysterious reasons and interfering with Lazaru's plans a few times. Is there anything you think could have made this anime better?

And this scene, this damn walking scene, it's seriously the worst moment in the entire series. I couldn't help but notice these people walking and walking, and somehow barely moving forward XD

Argento-chan @argent4 Hey, did you really mean to share that with me? I don't drink so I didn't really understand most of it, but hey, at least now I know the proper way to pour a Guinness. Thanks, Mr. Truck!

Snake Truck @joemama711 Yeah, I mean it's just two guys having a dumb fun time and I like their content, I don't drink either but if you didn't enjoy them then my bad.

Is Factorio or Satisfactory are fun games?

Argento-chan @argent4 To be completely honest, they are not.

Gold Ship was a super popular horse in Japan even before the game because he’s goofy as shit and actually a very successful horse. So I guess they decided she would be a great choice as the center figure for the series.
I’ve been very active in the community for around 2 years now and everyone’s pocket favorite is Gold Ship, nobody dislikes her and everyone finds her funny as fuck.
The waifus leave my wallet alone because I have all of them in games I play already. I mean my Arknights account is old as shit I don’t really need to pay money to get characters anymore. Feels good.

It’s a long and unpleasant tale. I was a huge fire emblem fan back in 2015 and FE Heroes came out. I figured ooo a fire emblem game on my phone, how cool!
It was all downhill after that, eventually jumped to FGO, then GFL, then Arknights, now Uma is next. It’s just one mental illness to the next with no hope of ever recovering.
Thankfully I am immune to gambling addiction because any time I lose money I genuinely want to blow up my house so it keeps me in check pretty well.
Gold Ship is a great choice, everyone loves her for good reason she’s a silly little thing, easily the best character they’ve ever made and they know it.

Argento-chan @argent4 That’s a pretty honest way to describe the gacha pipeline, hopefully those waifus aren’t bullying your wallet too hard. Arson might not be the ideal coping mechanism for financial loss, but hey, props to you for dodging gambling addiction!
I didn't know Golshi was so widely loved! I’m glad she's the people’s champion, she deserves it. She's a fantastic adaptation of the real Gold Ship, he is equally as silly. I read an interview a while back where his former jockey said he had two jobs during a race, first, not to piss him off (which meant not using the whip), and second, to pray that Gold Ship actually felt like running. Truly a legendary horse!

(The mobile website isn’t letting me respond directly to your reply, I miss my computer so much lol)
Well I’m just glad to see the series gain more fans, it’s multi-media so you don’t really have to play the game BUT I’ve been loving the JPN version and I’d highly recommend trying EN when it comes out! (I have sadly been a huge gacha fan for like 10 years)
Donna is easily one of my favorites I think she’s so cool and funny. Rudolf would have to be my number 1 tho. I like the strong and cool horses usually. Who’s your fave? (Sorry for yapping)

Argento-chan @argent4 I still have a long way to go when it comes to meeting and learning about all the Uma Musume. So far, the one I have a soft spot for is Gold Ship, she’s very horsey, I definitely like that.
Also, no offense, but playing gacha games for 10 years sounds pretty intense! which one got you into them? Can't think of many popular gachas from back then, only Puzzle & Dragons and Fate/Grand Order come to mind
