With technology, as soon as you buy it, it's obsolete the next day.
Man, I remember when computers had a turbo button.
Lol My Old Alienware M15X Had one. (2009)
I got my New Alienware 17 for 900 off so I couldn't say no.
Probably like $500-600 for something like an older xps 15 or lenovo ideapad Y-something.
People talking about 1050s and 1070s meanwhile I'm rocking Intel HD graphics 520
I got this thing because I, too, am required to have a laptop. So far the only thing is the touchpad catches a sleeve and all hell breaks loose because it's so damn sensitive lol.
PC blows away all consoles when it comes to gaming, FPS and quality. Though I'm a fan of desktops, myself.
I'd say move away from Alienware, you're paying a premium simply for their product name. Just look at the specs of the one you like and match it with another brand for a lot cheaper.
@Gudmoore Unless someone is trying to go pro gamer there's absolutely zero need for a gaming PC other than bragging. +$400 for CIV 6 is a waste of money no matter how you look at it.
You assume someone wants to brag. Sometimes people are just gaga for numbers and want top of the line so they don't have to upgrade for a few years.
Besides, consoles are locked to 30fps. That's hell on the eyes once you're used to quality FPS levels.
@Gudmoore I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Gaming consoles are in the end computers and of course you can assemble a better computer, what I'm saying is the end result isn't worth the effort or the money. Plus I don't think 30fps is bad at all, at the very least for the average Joe.
