Bloodborne. Fast paced action RPG fused with lovecraftian horror, everything I could ask for.

...Ugh. Halo 2. Really only for making me go out of my way to get xbox live. Delving into online gaming at that time was a blast, it was a pretty new concept to me and led to some friendships that still exist even from original xbox days. But beyond that, Devil May Cry. Worst part of all, I was introduced and fan'd out to Devil May Cry 2. Holy Christ. I wouldn't even really be able to explain why it resonated with me the way it did. It just did. I'm not even good at them. Though I can say I've had Devils Never Cry on every PC and MP3 player I've owned for about a decade and some change, and that's some crazy shit.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, I just loved the adventure and it was the first game I beat and 100 percented. So it was pretty magical. However a game that changed my life was probably "The World Ends With You" for the DS. I played through that game loving every second, relating to the characters, gasping at the twists and turns the story took. I really related to the main protagonist, Neku, and it made me actually value life more.

Not really changed my life, but resident evil has been with me forever. I love every game.

Demons Souls. And the rest of the souls series plus BB. No game was ever the same. Praise the sun.

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Doom games but as much as I love Doom 2016 and Doom 3, I'd easily say that Doom 2 from 1994 is by far my favourite game of all time; fantastic level design, challenging enemy encounters, awesome music and gargantuan amounts of mod support with a gigantic repertoire of amazing, fully featured custom campaigns and gameplay overhauls makes it a constant go-to for me. It's also where my favourite monsters in the series (and gaming in general) originated from; the revenant, mancubus, archvile, arachnotron and what-not are so iconic and well-realised that they feel like they were there from the very beginning along with the original favourites like cacodemons and pinkies. Yay for nerding over Doom!

Resident Evil REmake changed my life in many many ways. Both in giving me a genre that perfectly gave me the type of immersion I wanted while also actually changing my social life and is the reason I have the friends I have today. They saved me more or less. That game did. (But that game helping me out in that sense isn't why I think the game is great. I thought the game was fucking AMAZING for what it was. It was only later that it would open doors for me. So it was a huge side benefit.
