Have you ever made shabu shabu? Its super easy and delicious!

Funny that you mention that. I was actually looking at crab shabu. Weird timing. I have 2 Japanese cook books that I plan on making almost every dish from.

This is coming from the girl who melted a poptart I prefer chinese food over japanese food(snacks are a totally different issue though and sushi)

Haha shabu shabu is our hot pot. And yeah, I think Thai and Indian curry is better :p Luckily in Houston, there's a bunch of asian towns so we've got a pretty big variety in terms of groceries and whatnot

I cook when I have time. Hana daifuku,chiken raisu, yakisoba, suchi, onigiri, omurice... I didn't care for cooking before, but Japanese food changed that. How can so much deliciousness exist within the realm of mortals? And that curry looks awesome, Godai.

I've had some I think they are called sesame balls. They have like bean paste or something inside them and they are just to die for. An asian buffet would serve them now and again when I still lived in Idaho. I will have to get a recipe and cook them sometime.
