Only time will tell what happens in that situation, then.

I'm just gonna put in my two cents. First off; I haven't been very active on this since I left over a year ago and came back...oooh 5 months ago? I'm not sure. So I'm not up-to-date on the latest hoopla and drama on this site. I've been reading through this thread real quick. I skipped the drama crap between punhero and whats-her-name (I just didn't bother to remember her name) but it sounds like this site hasn't changed much, if at all in terms of its community upon the forums. It sounds like its still just as "anarchy" as before - even with the inclusion of mods. Adding more mods I don't think will fix the problem especially how EVERYONE (including yours truly) wants the freedom to say whatever it is they want on this forum. When I left I heard Seph had appointed a few people as Mods, but did it pretty much randomly. I think he said something along the lines of not even being sure if they'd notice. I'm not sure since it was a long while back and I've been off this site for the majority of that time. I thought then Mods would be needed since then nothing was getting done. Seph was banning/suspending whomever, I guess just to make some people shut up since it was such a big deal then. I'm on the fence about it now; it doesn't sound like its done any good, and I can't really tell if its actually made things worse than how things were. But frankly; I don't think anything that this thread or any other thread of this nature that hasn't been posted by Seph is gonna do jack-shit, and I don't even have any confidence in that. This site has been pretty much anarchy galor for a loooong time and I think its been too long to change it into something resembling order. Esspecially when Seph never seemed to make any concrete rules for this site except that anyone under the age of 18 must become friends with someone 18+ in order to even post on their profile or PM. All I can suggest is we make do with what we've got. As for the Unjustified Banning: I'm just not surprised this is an issue. I had a feeling it would be when I first heard about mods being chosen. People on this site are super-easy to get butt-hurt - and I would know. I was definitely one of them. Kinda still am actually, hence why I'm still pretty much keeping my head low and remaining mostly inactive. So... Good Luck people of MO.

The mods should message the people they suspend because...well lets be honest no one reads the terms of use. If someone gets their account suspended and makes a new one following it is considered a permanent ban.

And who's fault would it be if a member does not read the ToS? It's no better than signing a contract without reading what's in it first. All your warnings are right in there. Now, as was mentioned previously, there seems to be some kind of banning issue going on; I'm going to assume it's a spam-to-ban multi-account reporting triggering the auto-banner getting some people. As far as I'm aware, the only person actually able to permaban/restrict people is Sephiroth. Against my better judgement where I shouldn't be speaking about this, contrary to popular believe around here, mods can't just ban somebody; there are restrictions set in order to prevent the abuse of it. I will not get into the fine points of it all, but I will say that to the best of my knowledge, if you're banned, it is NOT at the hands of a moderator.

By logging into this or any website, therefore using it's services (you know... terms of SERVICE), legally, you agree to their ToS. If you don't agree, don't log in.
