People can be self-centered and unreasonable. Finding someone who's got your back no matter what (especially women) is rare these days, especially when it's acceptable for society to think "the grass is greener on the other side" Many times, people think marriage is the "happy ending." Not many understand that it's a start of a new challenge. The novelty of companionship wears off after a certain amount of time Nevertheless, I believe in marriage. Sure, relationships are a lot of work. Of course, there will be good times where people can chill like in the TV shows. At the same time, everyone has to put up with all kinds of shit. Nothing worthwhile in life comes easy When I get married, I can share with y'all more insights

The only reason why I'd ever marry is for the legal benefits. If it were purely for love, then I wouldn't need it. I don't need a piece of paper to validate my love for someone. I don't need to spend thousands of dollars to validate my love for someone. I find it to be arbitrary if done purely for emotional reasons.

I believe in love, but I don't believe in marriage in regards to what it means these days. Likewise, maybe its just my recent experiences in regards to cheating/lying partners, but I'd be very hesitant to take that big step due to the negative ramifications that can come with it legally. With all of that being said, If I had been with someone for a very long time, and felt comfortable with them, I would probably be willing to take things to the next step, if it was truly important to them. At the very least, I do believe in what it should stand for. Vowing to stay by your loved ones side for the rest of your lives.

1/3 of people who get married go into debt on the wedding day. It is considered a special once in a lifetime day for many people. So they end up putting themselves in the hole for it

In debt? Pffft... Those people are idiots. No debt from my wedding, no money borrowed to be in debt for. Lots of family|friends help and lots of DIY stuff
