English Sub versus English Dub

animeboy
Dub guy here,I can't stand subs XP I'm too lazy to always read the subtitles so I love my dubs, me loving dubs will make it harder for me to find Otaku friends XP

started with dubs but recently i purchased huluplus and 99% of the anime is subbed on there and now all the anime i have watched on there will always be watched in subs...... except FLCL... that anime in my opinion is better in dubbed rather than subbed imo :)

I primarily prefer dubs. All because when I'm watching an anime....I want to WATCH the anime, not read it. You miss so much having to look down to read the subtitles. That being said though, if I'm watching any sort of "moe" or harem genre anime (anything with large numbers of female characters, or several female characters of the "cute" type) I will almost always go subs. English voices just DON'T work when they try to mimic the cutesy style of the moe genre, or they just run out of VAs to pick from if there's too many female characters

I'd much rather hear a show in my own language than have to read out the script in subs. Reading a television show just isn't fun.

I watch both, but sometimes the voice acting in subbed anime is horrid.I will prefer a dub over a sub when the sub lacks in voice acting.
