Do your friends respect Anime?

Not really, a couple do, but they dont like it as much as i do. One of the reasons i am on this site, its a good outlet for my Otaku side

My hometown friends sure do. Because back in the sanctions days in the 90s and earth 00s we had nothing but 80s anime to watch so yeah most of the population do respect anime because they know it's not just "cartoons". Fucking hell but the good people of England really dislike this shit.

nooo, none of my friens like it, watched it or even consider to, my parents think its trash that only people under 9 should watch and my sisters dont really care for it eather, so only 4 of my friends know that i 'have watched an anime or something' but they werent into it at all, ist not as if they brought it down they just dont like it, so i thought that i could find someone to talk to online :D

Well my best friend watched Shounen in her childhood but only because they were in TV.. So sometimes she watches a single episode One Piece or Detective Conan but that's all.. When I defend Anime in school because my classmates say that it's only for kids or freaks she defends it with me but only because she has her childhood animes in mind. Another thing was when she sees my mangas haha her face always gets this omg-my-best-friend-is-a-freak-look and rolls her eyes.-. So no she don't really respect me being an otaku but yeah i learned to handle it:)
